Alaska Sea Kayaking — Tongass National Forest
Stunning footage of sea kayaking through Southeast Alaska's Tongass National Forest — the largest national forest in the United States. Filmed by an Alaska video production company with 20 years of remote expedition experience.
4 AM. Two of our local kayakers called in sick. It's raining and cold.
But we're in the largest national forest in the United States — the Tongass. And there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.
Rob and Charles stepped up. Two crew members who'd never planned to be on camera grabbed paddles and rowed for hours, laughing in the rain, until we had every shot we needed. When the blisters came, they taped their hands with gaffer tape and kept going.
That's the WABU way.
